WHAT IS EGUNOU?

Conceived in 2017 by Paul Aymat while traveling in the Basque Country, a genuine curiosity came about in wanting to learn more about the communities he was surrounding himself in: How they operated, how were they influenced by others, perhaps outside of their own community, seeking to understand what they all share in common with one another.
Thus, Egunou was born.

What does "Egunou" mean?

A combination of two words from two different languages:

"Egun"

Part of the Basque phrase “egun on”, which means “Good Morning” or “Good Day”.

"Nou"

From the Catalan language, which means “New”.

Combined, it is interpreted as "New Day".

Everyday being a new day to meet new people, discover new places and uncover new communities.

Egunou speaks on the belief of creating community through conversation and, as a result, discovering commonalities amongst one another.
